Fiddle Lessons

The fiddling styles we teach are Traditional, Old Time, Celtic & Bluegrass. Our fiddle program is designed to have the student playing fiddle tunes by ear as well as by note.

• Care and maintenance of the fiddle

• Key signatures

• Note reading on the treble clef

• Major & minor scales

• Slurs & ties

• Playing by ear

Along with our instructional books, individual tunes by such great fiddlers as Graham Townsend, Ward Allen, Ned Landry, Don Messer, Winston Crawford, Bob Wills, Gordon Andrews and many others are used to further encourage the students in their fiddle playing.
